४/८/२०१४ ह्या दिवसाचा अनुभव न विसरण्यासारखा...खुप पाऊस सुरु होता आणि आम्ही workshop घ्यायला निघालो. तीथे पोहचल्या वर पाहिलं तर कुणीच नव्हत...अर्चना ताई एक गृहिणी आणि त्यात त्यांनी इंटरनेट कार्यशाळेच्या व्यवस्थापनाचे काम पूर्णतः एकट्यांनी केले. इंटरनेट कार्यशाळेसाठी सगळ्या बायकांना बोलावणे त्यांना ते लक्षात राहावे म्हणून तीन ते चार वेळा त्याची आठवण करून देणे. परंतु पावसामुळे अर्चना ताई देखील shock झाल्या होत्या. त्या म्हणाल्या कि पावसाने सगळाच घोळ केला.

Janata Vasahat is a sprawling settlement that stretches across Parvati hill in the heart of Pune. Off the main road are over 100 neatly-demarcated lanes leading up the hill. From north to south the settlement runs 2.5 km. Over 10,000 dwellings are packed closely along these narrow lanes, steps leading higher and higher.

We weren't very hopeful of finding many participants for our workshop as we ventured into the dalit-dominated  settlement of Ambedkar Nagar in Market Yard, Pune, on a hot summer afternoon, with temperatures soaring to 40 degrees. We had scheduled a 2-hour workshop in the Baudhha Vihar at Ambedkar Nagar for women who knew almost nothing about the internet.
